Meet Alexa:
I have always had a vast interest in health and movement. I was a competitive dancer for 15 years, ending my career dancing for the University of Kentucky Dance Team. I then received my bachelors of Kinesiology in Exercise Science from Indiana University. I instruct and coach all types of people. From privates with elderly individuals to get them walking without pain, weekend warriors in energized group fitness classes, to focused and specialized training for elite athletes.
I found a need to round out my knowledge, and took an interest in the practice of yoga for all that it has to offer. After my initial 200 hr training in Costa Rica, I couldn’t get enough. I’ve been back numerous times for more, and have taught thousands of classes, leading me to become an ERYT 500. I have additional training in conscious alignment, am a specialist in Ayurvedic therapeutic yoga, and a certified Prenatal yoga instructor. I use and share the practice of yoga and everything it encompasses for the mind, body, and soul.
Traveling, family, being in the great outdoors, and my Australian Shepherd pups, Moki and Yogi, fill up my spare time. I am honored that I get to work and connect with people everyday through movement, and have the opportunity to guide people on the many paths of wellness.
